Authenticated Beanie Babies come in a sealed plastic case. The cost to authenticate is generally $15+ for the top level service. The two most active Beanie Babies authenticators still going are True Blue Beans and Peggy Gallagher. Together they have authenticated tens of thousands of Beanie Babies.
Some authenticated Ty Beanie Babies can sell for hundreds of dollars.

is everyone confused about the price of 0f the 1997 and 1998 editions. I see them on ebay some selling for lot less than $100 and other identical ones in mint condition going for thousands.. can condition make that much difference or people just don't know if they have a valuable item. when I was 12 in 1997 I pre ordered princess diana. I would assume I got one of the first editions but prices on ebay are confusing. mine was handmade in china. if I did not get the most valuable item then what was I given??
